Our ram entries in the 2009 West Coast Production Sale will feature four yearling rams from our 2008 AI group. These rams are sired by top Australian rams representing new White Dorper genetics for the U.S. All four of their sires are currently on the Lambplan “Elite List” representing the top performing sires for muscling and growth. Current Lambplan EBVs will be available on each of our ram entries on sale day.

LWD 8041 is a good shedder and has good feet and eye pigment. He is QR at codon 171.

Sire of 8041 is Type 5 and was the high selling W. Dorper ram in the 2006 Kaya Sale in Australia. He was purchased by an Australian syndicate and currently is being used in six different flocks. We feel fortunate to be able to purchase semen from this sire.

Dam of 8041 is an AI daughter of Parilla 98/126.

LWD 8023 is a nice thick ram with full pigment. He is QR at codon 171.

LWD 8023 is sired by Ida Vale 05/2086, a ram we own in Australia . We chose this AI sire for his exceptional muscling and rump structure. As of June 15, 2009, Ida Vale 05/2086 ranks eighth on the Lambplan “Elites List” for White Dorper sires and is in the top 5% of all Lambplan terminal sires for post weaning eye muscle depth.

Dam of LWD 8023 is sired by our “Magna” ram. Magna is an ET ram imported from South Africa. He is Type 5 and has produced many good daughters for us.

LWD 8064 is a very long, thick ram. He is a good shedder and both sire and dam were total shedders. He is RR at codon 171.

Etiwanda A3242, the AI sire of LWD 8064, is also on the Lambplan Elites List. He has given us many good shedding, fast growing lambs. He is from the Etiwanda White Dorper stud located in the rugged outback of northern New South Wales . We were impressed at how well their White Dorpers were doing under very tough, drought conditions.

The dam of LWD 8064 is an AI ewe sired by Parilla 98/16.

LWD 8065 is a ¾ brother to our highest placing yearling ram at the National Dorper Show and Sale in Sedalia , MO. He has a good pigment and a nice head. He is QQ at codon 171.

Etiwanda B3730, the sire of LWD 8065 is another AI sire from the Etiwanda W. Dorper Stud. He is also on the Lambplan Elites List.

Lewis White Dorper ewe entries will be fall ewe lambs born in November and December 2008. These fall lambs are sired by LWD 6605, a good ewe sire, total shedder and the best shedding sire we have.
